Coloring and Bleaching Reactions of Photonic Molecules by using a Single GaN-based Light Emitting Diode

A single GaN-based light emitting diode (LED) induced both coloring and bleaching reactions of photochromic molecules. Coloring reactions of photochromic diarylethenes were performed using light of a short wavelength which was emitted from a GaN-based LED driven by a pulsed current, and bleaching reactions ware performed using light of a long wavelength which was emitted from the LED driven by a constant current.
