Nitrogen compounds of gallium III. gallic nitride

W. C. Johnson, J. B. Parsons, M. C. Crew

Journal of Chemical Physics 36, 2651 (1932).

This is probably the first report of the synthesis of GaN. GaN was prepared by the reaction of ammonia gas with metallic Ga at high temperatures, 900-1000C.

In Strite's review article, the reference is given mistakenly as page 2561.
