Pricing

Since counting pages is difficult, we decided to make all charges apply on a per-article basis. Pricing for regular papers is as follows (Different arrangements may be in place for papers submitted in coordination with a conference):
Submission Fee $275
This fee is non-refundable, and pays for processing and the production of a web version of your article. In the event that your paper is not accepted for publication and archival, you may download and use the web version that is produced (without MRS copyright notices). This fee also pays for the service of your article into the future.
The total of $275 should be remitted to the MRS, as soon as your paper is ready to submit. If you need an invoice or for some reason you cannot pay the submission fee you should contact the MRS to request a temporary waiver. The editors have the discretion to grant full or partial waivers of the publication fees for a limited number of cases of financial hardship. Please contact the editors to apply for a financial hardship waiver.

Information for Authors

Downloading the RTF Template

To get the Word (RTF) template Click the mouse down here. Depending on your configuration file, your computer may try to launch Microsoft Word or other RTF compatible word processor. On some machines, you may be asked to save the file in the location you prefer. Then Using Microsoft Word or other RTF compatible word processor, open the file, chosing to "convert RTF". Then replace the dummy title, abstract, text, etc. with your own work.

The WordPerfect Template

We have found that WordPerfect users need to submit not the RTF version, but the WordPerfect document itself. A WordPerfect Template is available (thanks to Andreas Hangleiter for help on this). When you click the mouse down here, your computer should try to launch WordPerfect.

Ignore instructions about submitting RTF files; instead you should submit the "WPD" files.
