is hereby transferred to The Materials Research Society (MRS) for the full term thereof throughout the world, BUT SUBJECT to the following rights reserved to the author(s) and to acceptance of the article for publication in

MRS INTERNET JOURNAL OF NITRIDE SEMICONDUCTOR RESEARCH MRS shall have the right to register copyright to the article and the accompanying abstract in its name as claimant, whether separately or as part of the journal issue or other medium in which such work is included.

The author(s) reserve the following rights:

All proprietary rights other than copyright, such as patent rights.
The right, after publication by MRS, to grant or refuse permission to third parties to republish all or part of the article or translations thereof. In the case of whole articles, such third parties must obtain MRS's written permission as well. However, such permission will not be refused by MRS except at the direction of the author. MRS may grant rights with respect to journal issues as a whole.
The right, after publication by MRS, to use all or part of the article and abstract in compilations or other publications of the author's own works, and to make copies of all or part of such material for the author's use for lecture or classroom purposes.
If the article has been prepared by an employee within the scope of his or her employment, the employer reserves the right to make copies of the work for its own internal use. If the article was prepared under a U.S. Government contract, the government shall have the rights under the copyright to the extent required by the contract.
The right to post this MRS-copyrighted manuscript on their company servers without permission, provided MRS copyright notice is prominently displayed, such as: Copyright 1999, The Materials Research Society. All rights of copyright are retained by the author and other copyright holders.
